the sports media is really weird, and they can vacillate wildly

Last week it was all about the Cavs jelling, LeBron going to the finals again, the return of Thompson & Hill, peaking at the right time..............

Today, they're talking about "organizational fatigue", the "emotional roller coaster" created by all the LeBron drama, old roll players vs versatile young players and team speed

Mind you, there were NO roster moves in the last few days

Our media is stuck in the mud, they're so Monday morning, just a bunch of hyperbolic idiots that are beginning to realize the C's might actually be pretty good

As for me, the series is not over, the C's held serve and that's all they did

PS: two weeks ago the Boston media was mocking all the talk about Brad Stevens being a very good coach. If they lost to the Bucks, they were ready to throw him under the bus, the vultures were circling

ESPN is the worst at this also. It’s like they just throw things out there to stir up debate. Their Canadian TSN channel is nothing like this.

I suspect they are just trying manufacture some sort of story line in the inferior East. This seems to happen in sports when one conference is far superior to the other and the conference final of the stronger conference is ultimately the championship. It’s tough to build buzz in a final when it’s expected to be completely one-sided.

I’m certainly not taking anything away from Boston and the job they have done, which is about as good as it can get when you’re lacking a “superstar” team in today’s NBA. It’s exciting to see a team who plays as a team and are well coached and well prepared, compared to a team like the Rockets that plays glorified 1v1 ball on nearly every possession.

this. C's had home court advantage and they defend it well, nothing much there. People think that the C's are the raptors and they wouldn't defend the home court, not much of a story here but they need to come up with something I guess

I get the Western Conference Champion will be heavy favorites, I get that and I'm not disputing that they should be

The C's were 22-8 vs the Western Conference, and they split with the conference semi-finalists, the home team won every game and every game was close

VS GS:
92-88
105-109

VS Houston
99-98
120-123

I know both Houston games had wild and unexpected finishes in the last minute. The C's stole the game in Boston, and the Rockets returned the favor on their home court

I know it's easy to see the greatness in flashy teams, I also think it's easy to overlook the effectiveness of teamwork and team-play

Whatever happens, if the C's are there, it's a year early and it's borrowed time and I'll be happy about the season they gave us
